“On Resonance”

This animated short is exploring the sociological theory of resonance - how art resonates within us in a way we cannot control.

Geometry is numbers in space, music is numbers in time. The building blocks of art can be broken down, but not the way it touches and moves us. There is no emotional guarantee, which is exactly why art is so important.

When we are moved by art, we feel resonance with the world. It shivers, and we shiver with it. But resonance is a two-way motion. Me reaching for the world is not enough, I must allow the world to call for me.

I want to lay down my guard. I want to surrender. And I want to love the world too much feel the desire to conquer it.
